About Maramopane

A Different Kind of Project

Maramopane represents a new approach to conservation and hospitality in Africa—one built on restraint, long-term thinking, and genuine partnership with the land.

The Story

The name Maramopane comes from the Mopane tree—a species that defines the landscape of northern Namibia. Like the Mopane, this project is designed to endure. To adapt. To provide shelter and sustenance for generations.

Farm MARA was identified after an extensive search for land that met specific criteria: direct adjacency to a major conservation area, existing infrastructure, water security, and the potential for meaningful wildlife integration.

What we found exceeded expectations. A property of 8,511 hectares sharing a boundary with Etosha National Park—one of Africa's most significant wildlife reserves. A landscape of extraordinary beauty and ecological importance.

The vision is not to build another safari lodge. It is to create a conservation platform that generates sustainable returns while protecting and enhancing the natural environment. A private residence club for those who understand that the greatest luxury is space, silence, and permanence.

Location

Adjacent to Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park is one of Africa's great wildlife sanctuaries. Spanning over 22,000 square kilometers, it is home to elephant, lion, leopard, rhino, and hundreds of other species. The park's famous salt pan—visible from space—creates one of the most dramatic landscapes on the continent.

Maramopane shares a direct boundary with Etosha's western section, providing unparalleled access to this wilderness while maintaining the privacy and exclusivity of a private reserve.

The property is accessible via Windhoek (approximately 4.5 hours by road) or through regional airstrips that accommodate charter flights.
